Dr. Costin is board certified in general surgery experienced and qualified to perform a variety of surgical procedures including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Costin, a Columbus, Ohio native, attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and returned to Ohio for his residency at Doctors Hospital. He also received special training in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering where he developed an interest in cancer surgery. Some areas of expertise are in breast surgery, colon surgery, gallbladder surgery and hernia repair. Dr. Costin is a Fellow – American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is dedicated to providing personalized patient care and providing the best surgical options for his patients. Dr. Costin is also trained in robotic surgery and passionate about educating residents on performing minimally invasive surgeries and surgical oncology.

Dr. Costin has a deep history with Doctors Hospital; his father started his career as a surgeon here, which inspired his original interest in a career in medicine. Dr. Costin has been in practice since 1989. Currently, he resides in central Ohio with his family, who all enjoy spending time with their horses, goats and dogs.
